Vintage amber glass base oil lamp with burner marked 'V.M. Patentado' and a tall slender hurricane/chimney. Comes with a decorative tin wall sconce/holder. These were from a true antique auction with very early lighting items.
The amber glass base with brass burner stands 5 3/4" tall and the glass base is approximately 3 1/2" diameter at the widest portion. The clear glass slender chimney is 9 1/8" tall and is in very good condition - no chips/cracks. Together, the pieces stand 13 1/2" tall. There is a wick present but the adjuster does not turn or advance the wick. There is a ceramic-like substance on the bottom of the burner that has partially flaked-away.
The ornate tin sconce/holder is 9 1/2" long x 4 1/4". It is not marked by the maker. It has wear/scratches and some rust. It has hammered decorative elements and a ring for holding a lamp. Tin holder/sconce bows outward with the weight of the lamp and may not hold the weight of this lamp without further support.
We are offering this cast iron, ring-style, swiveling wall sconce with bracket and a clear glass font. The font fits well in the holder. The designs on the sconce and the bracket are similar. The piece, all assembled, sticks out from the wall 11" and is 6" tall. There is no maker's mark on any of the pieces.
We are offering this cast iron, swivel-arm wall sconce with bracket and a sun-purple glass font. The font fits well in the holder. The designs on the sconce and the bracket are matching. The piece, all assembled, sticks out from the wall 12" and is 9" tall. There is a wing-nut at the top of the sconce which moves freely - I am not sure of its function. There is no maker's mark on any of the pieces.
