$ 44.94 $ 49.95This listing is for a heavy, clear glass cake stand with domed cover. It was probably made by Anchor Hocking, but it is not marked. The platter or stand has ridges on the base and on the plate portion, and the plate-edge is upturned. The cover has a rounded-knob handle. (The platter, when inverted, serves as a punch bowl base, and the lid, when inverted, serves as a punch bowl. The knob fits securely into the base of the stand.) The cake platter is 12" diameter. It could house a cake up to 9 5/8" diameter. The cake stand without the cover is 4 3/4" tall. With the lid in place, the cake stand is approximately 11 1/2" tall. This piece, although pre-owned, is without scratches, chips, and cracks. I don't have the original box.

We are pleased to offer this antique EAPG (Early American Pattern Glass) clear glass cake stand or pedestal. It features 'cat's eye and block' designs and the name of the pattern is CUT LOG. It was made in 1889 by Bryce, Higbee and company. It stands 6 3/4" tall and has a diameter of 10 1/2". The plate has a 1/4" tall gallery on the circumference. The useable diameter on the plate is 9 5/8" (meaning that it could hold a 9 5/8" diameter cake). There is a scalloped edge on the plate and on the pedestal base.
This antique cake pedestal is pre-owned and has been used. There are some chips on the scalloped base (pictured) and some utensil scratches on the plate portion.
