Primitive Antique Commode Painted Cupboard Dry Sink Fantastic Brass Knight Pulls

We are offering for your consideration, a primitive antique small cupboard or commode. Originally called a commode, it was used in the bedroom for storage of the chamberpot and other pre-indoor plumbing bathroom necessities. This great old cupboard has a decorative backsplash, a flat top, one larger drawer, two smaller drawers, and one compartment with door. It is 27" tall x 29 7/8" wide x 15 3/4" deep. It is unsigned by the maker. It possibly dates to the 19th century but it is not specifically dated. The type of wood from which it has been constructed is unknown. The drawers feature fantastic brass knight pulls and have dovetail joinery. This cupboard/commode has its original gray to icy-blue colored paint. Included is an enamel chamber pot with lid. This small cupboard or commode is pre-owned and is primitive or rustic in style and form. It shows significant wear to the paint and to the wood - especially on the backsplash. The paint also shows crackling and discoloration. There is a repair to the back of the base that is only visible underneath. The backsplash may be removed for shipping so some reassembly would be required.
