Signed Photo Ernest Schelling 1935 Musical Quotation To Pianist Mildred Titcomb

We have for your consideration an autographed sepia-style photograph of Ernest Henry Schelling (1876-1939), an American pianist, composer, conductor and musical director. He was conductor of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra from 1935-37. This photograph measures 7 1/2" x 10 1/4". The large sentiment reads 'For Mildred Rains gratefully  Ernest Schelling July 31/ 1935.' The is also a complicated musical quotation that appears to be written over 'Schelling' written in light-colored ink. This signed photo may have been a gift to Mildred following a successful performance.
This photo is pre-owned and is part of the estate of Mildred Titcomb Rains, a brilliant pianist and socialite who was a pupil of Sigismond Stojowski - who in turn was a student of Ignance Paderewski. Ernest Schelling was a friend and student of both Stojowski and Paderewski, perhaps Mildred and Ernest Schelling met via these brilliant musicians. We do not have a COA for the signed photo but we are able to provide provenance for this item. We purchased it from the family who inherited all of the personal posessions of the Mildred Titcomb Rains' estate. The photo shows some degredation/discoloration on the edges and some edge wear.
