We are pleased to offer this antique Mintons China Works Tile backsplash. Each of the ten (10) tiles is brown and features a rose or rosette shape. Each tile measures 6" x 6". We believe the wood frame is walnut with a dark stain. The dimensions of the backsplash are: 16 7/8" tall x 43 1/2" wide x 6 1/8" depth. We loosened a portion of the wood back to picture the marks on the back of a tile (see photos) and we believe it reads 'Mintons China Works Stoke On Trent Reg No 3143 Col England'. We were unable to date this mark. There are 3 metal tabs that hold the tiles in place that run through the piece and attach to the backing. One of these tabs is missing.
This antique tile backsplash is pre-owned. The exact age is unknown. There are chips and scratches on the wood frame. There are some small chips on the tile fronts which we have pictured. There is some aged residue on some of the tiles.

We have for your consideration a set of four ceramic buttons that we believe were made by Satsuma. Each button is 1" diameter, has an ivory-colored base, and has a crazed or crackle finish. Each button is stamped 'Japan' in gold color and has a self-shank. Each button has a similar hand painted scene on the front featuring rust and yellow leaves with various degrees of gilt outlining. Each button has gold colored rimming. We were unable to determine the exact age of these buttons. These vintage ceramic buttons are pre-owned. They are marked 'Japan' and do not have the Satsuma logo (an 'X' with an 'O' around it).
