You are viewing what is possibly the largest handmade copper kettle you have ever seen. This is a beautiful and unique piece of craftsmanship. It is a solid copper coffee pot or kettle, standing 17" in height. The diameter of the base is 17" and the diameter of the top opening is 10" The kettle holds 9-gallons, with room to spare. The total weight (empty) is 16 pounds and 12 ounces. We were unable to lift this when it was full of water.
The kettle, spout and D-handle are all composed of solid copper. The lid handle and the wire handle are another type of cast metal. The kettle lid fits tightly.
This is in great, vintage condition overall with small signs of age or use. We have done nothing to clean the kettle besides wiping it down with a wet rag. It has a lovely, aged patina evenly covering the surface. There are some scratches, which are consistent with use. There is a small area of black on the kettle, which may be from use on a campfire. The kettle is covered with a lovely, aged patina. Please see pictures for more details, and please ask questions if you have them. What an incredible conversation piece!
