This is a gorgeous piece of early American history. This is a primitive schoolmaster's style desk. We are quite certain that this piece dates back to the early part of the 1800's. The desk was hand-made and was constructed using square nails. We suspect that the wood used is pine. Some sections of the desk were made using wood planks as large as 22" wide! A board on the top is 17 1/2" wide and one on the side measures 21" wide. Boards of this size only reinforce the old age of this piece.
The desk has the following measurements:
There are four roughly-cut drawers on the right side of the desk. They measure as follows:
The drawer bottoms show evidence of being cut by a mill saw. They are all hand-planed and chamfered. One of the drawers does have a small hole in the face where a lock was removed. The right side of the desk is supported by 2 simple-style turned legs. There is a railed book gallery running across the back/top of the desk.
This is in great, antique condition overall with some general signs of age and use. Regardless of age, this desk is still very sturdy. It appears as though the desk was once painted, but was later striped to reveal the natural wood finish. Tiny pieces of evidence of the previous paint job can be found in corners, cracks and crevices. The drawer pulls are old, but do not appear to be original to this piece. This desk is nearly 200 years old. It shows wear consistent to its age in the form of cracks, chips, scratches and general bumps and bruises. These flaws only add to the character of this 19th century piece. Please see pictures for more details, and please ask questions if you have them.
We are pleased to offer this Bradley & Hubbard signed inkwell set with two heavy glass wells and two wood & cork pens. The inkwell is brass plated cast iron and the style of logo is consistent with an 1875-1940 manufacture. There is also a 'Pat'd Nov. 12, 1878' mark on the bottom. The dimensions of this ornate Art Nouveau style desk piece are: Base - 8 7/8" wide x 5 5/8" depth. Penrest: 5 3/4" wide x 6" long. Total depth of the whole piece approx. 8". Total height of the whole piece 5 5/8" tall. We believe the glass containers are original to the piece since they fit so well and they were present when we obtained it. Each glass container is 2 7/8" square x 2 1/4" tall. The penrest has three slots for pens. The pens are made of lightweight wood with cork ends and metal nibs. One pen is labelled 'Esterbrook.'This Bradley & Hubbard signed inkwell is pre-owned. The glass wells or dips do not have lids. The two pens are not original to the set.

We are pleased to offer this unique, vintage, Western-style desk. I believe it is composed of maple, with interior drawer boxes made of oak. The face of the middle drawer features a lovely, hand carved design of a covered wagon being pulled by oxen. The drawer pulls are shaped like wagon wheels. The middle drawer of the desk has a lock, but we do not have a key. The lock seems to stick.
The desk has the following dimensions:
This is in great condition overall with some general signs of age or use. The top surface of the desk is scratched and worn. There is some separation in the boards that form the desk top surface. These spots have been stabilized to prevent further separation. There are four runners on the base. One of these appears to have been replaced at some point with oak (the others are maple). This is only noticeable upon close inspection. One of the drawer fronts appears to be composed to two shades of wood - the top is light, like the rest of the drawer fronts, but the bottom portion is a darker with a different grain. There are four wooden "buttons" missing from the holes at the joints. Even with these "flaws" the desk has a fantastic appearance overall. Please see pictures for more details, and please ask questions if you have them.

We are offering for your consideration, a tall, vintage, colonial style drop-front desk. It has a red painted surface with mustard yellow accents and an aged crackled finish. It features a hand painted, raised, oriental scene on the drop-front door (a person in traditional dress, blossoms, gazebo, and bridge). The dimensions are: 59 1/4" tall x 29 3/4" wide x 16 3/8" deep - with the front closed. There is a shelf for books/knick knacks at the top. We are pleased to present this vintage Mid-Century Modern vanity. We believe it is composed wood with a light or blonde colored walnut, but are unable to say with complete certainty. It is marked "Wal." on the back. The 2 pedestals of the desk each feature a set of 3 drawers with fantastic MCM brass-plated pulls. The drawers are composed of solid wood and have sturdy, dovetail construction. There is also a center drawer above the knee-hole with a curved face. There is a piece of plate glass covering the center surface. We found one small chip on the front, under-surface of the glass.
The vanity has the following dimensions:
This is in great condition overall with some general signs of age or use. The veneer surface has a slightly bumpy or crackled finish. We are not sure if this is an intentional or if it has become this way with age. There is a large chip on each of the top corners corners of the mirror. We also found paint down one side of the mirror where someone painted the wall without moving the vanity. There is also a drip of paint on the bottom/front of the left door frame. There are some red crayon marks on the interior of the center drawer. We found a few small chips on the veneered corners. These flaws are only noticeable upon close inspection. The vanity has a great overall appearance. Please see pictures for more details, and please ask questions if you have them.
