Here is a unique antique piece marked on the back 'Weiman Heirloom Quality Tables 8110'. The piece is 40" long x 12" wide. We don't know it's true intended purpose, but it would make a great business card holder or combination letter holder and umbrella holder or planter holder. There is a metal hanger on the back for mounting on the wall. It features acorn-style finials at top and bottom. It has a long neck with 12 slots. At the bottom there are two round open holders for either umbrellas or for holding planters. This wooden piece is covered with beautiful mahogany veneer. The veneer is in good condition - it has some crackling on the rounded holder portions and a small piece of veneer is missing from the top of one of the rounded sections. Unsure of the exact age of the piece - we think 1940's to early 1950's.

There were no veneers, plywood, particle board or any other cheap material even in interior places like drawer pieces. They were also famous for their hand-rubbed finishes, which often gave a glass-like polished, almost three-dimensional transparent depth to the wood.
