This listing is for an unusual, early black and white photograph measuring 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" and signed in pencil 'Carlson 1913'. It features a creche or nativity scene statues and a stable in the foreground. It appears that in the background, the old world style cityscape as well as angels and star of the East have been added-in somehow. The background has a dreamy quality. This photo has, unforturnately, been partially adhered to an old heavy matboard. The lower 3/4 of the photo is free while the top 1/4 of the photo is adhered. I believe the wood is maple but I am not positive. It is branded on the bottom 'Enkeboll' as is their quill, ink well and key logo. This piece has primitive or early American style with a distressed finish on the wood and visible nailheads on the pewter label. The spelling of the word 'TE' is also primitive. Without the lid the canister is 9" tall. With the lid in place, it is 11" tall. The canister is 6 3/4" x 6 3/4" at the widest portion (the center). It is well made and sturdy and we believe it is hand made. The internal cavity is square (4 3/4" x 4 3/4" x 7 7/8" tall).

This jacket features a white screenprinted 'Little Dixie Brand' advertiser on the left chest and has white and black accent colors. The jacket was made by 'Plac-Jac by Dunbrooke' in USA. It has 7 snaps, 2 pockets, and has a ribbed knit collar and waistband. It is nylon with polyester fill. The side to side measurement at the armpit level is 27". The length from the peak shoulder to the front bottom is 28".
'Little Dixie' is a geographic reference to a 13 to 17 county area in northern and mid Missouri along the Mississippi River. The box measures 17 1/2" wide x 13 3/8" x 3 1/2" tall in front and 4 3/8" at the tallest end. The inner surface is also aqua. 'SUCCESS' may have been the name of a cosmetics line or a perfume.

We are pleased to offer this vintage/antique wooden trouser press and stretcher. The function of the piece was to press wrinkles out of mens dress trousers but was also used as a stretching device to restore shape to trousers with 'baggy knees.' The device has a small plaque that reads 'The Leader Automatic Presser and Stretcher (Watts's Patent) Sheffield, England.' The patent was applied for in 1922. The exact date of manufacture of this presser is unknown. The trousers were hung on the metal bar on the end and the legs were clamped between the wooden slats. All parts appear to be original. The dimensions of the presser are 28" long x 16 1/4" wide x 4 3/4" tall.

McCaleb' is at the right bottom. The work is in black on light beige textured paper. The etching appears in excellent condition although we did not remove it from the frame for inspection for fear of damaging it.

This tin is empty. There are scratches and scrapes in the finish. The lid is probably a replacement although the color and size match very well. The only reason it looks like a replacement is because the word 'Chase' is totally missing - it would normally be partially present on the side of the lid.
